Gerrard (HNC CGLI)
Age:
46
On
leaving school with 6 'O' levels, Grahame joined what is now British Telecom.
During his 22 years stay, he gained technical qualifications in electronics
and communications and reached a position as Technical Support Manager
and subsequently Projects Manager, because of his creative skills. In
the latter stages of his BT career, Grahame won a national "New Ideas"
competition and nearly £40,000; his idea saved BT over £350,000 pa following
his creation of a fault detection system.
The
above competition win wet Grahame's creative appetite and this led to
his leaving BT in 1993 to form his own electronics design consultancy
